Raytheon is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer I to join the Surface Radars and Radars team in Marlborough, MA. This onsite role covers the full lifecycle from concept development to deployment, with collaboration across disciplines to troubleshoot and optimize radar systems.

The position requires a Master’s degree in STEM and eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance. Travel up to 20% to RTX facilities and customer sites may be needed to support tests and mission execution.

What You Will Do

Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Radar Systems Engineer I to join our Surface Radars and Radars team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting a range of sensor and effector programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept development to deployment.

Every day will bring new challenges, requiring collaboration across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you’ll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly.

This is an onsite position based in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The role may require up to 20% travel to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations to support test events and mission execution.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Master’s degree in or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
• Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
• Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
• Design experience in the following radar system areas; antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
• Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
• Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
• Experience with technical writing and oral presentations

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
