Job summary

RTX is seeking a radar systems-focused professional for an onsite position in Tewksbury, MA, with up to 20% travel to RTX facilities and customers to support test events and mission execution.

Responsibilities include radar concept development, processing algorithm work, software requirements, and rigorous analysis of radar performance data, with tool development to identify and resolve issues. Collaboration with Systems/Software Engineers and leadership presentations are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in STEM by start date.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Active Secret US security clearance preferred.
  • Experience with radar system and software architectures; signal processing in complex environments.

What You Will Do

This is an onsite position based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The role may require up to 20% travel to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations to support test events and mission execution.

  • You will develop concepts of operations for radar systems

  • You will be responsible for analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
  • You will be responsible for collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions

Qualifications

You Must Have Master’s degree in or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date. Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

We Prefer An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments Design experience in the following radar system areas; antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++ Experience with technical writing and oral presentations.

Relocation Eligibility. Please consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
