Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a full-time Computer Engineer to support on-site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) with Code 34 ISEA Team. You will analyze, design and enhance capabilities, test support, and provide in-service support for radar systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software, drafting engineering change proposals, conducting analyses, and delivering technical reports. Travel about 10% and secret clearance are required or beneficial.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science.
BS and 0-2 years experience.
Technical writing and presentation skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with process improvement methods (CMMI) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Understanding DoD engineering design practices is a plus.
Ability to obtain/maintain a secret security clearance; active clearances are a plus.
Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
Hands-on with hardware components and software.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at NUWC lab and in the fleet.
Develop Engineering Change Instructions and Engineering Change Proposals.
Perform gap, fault/failure, and performance analyses.
Document and present trade studies.
Investigate testing environments to support testing objectives.
Analyze testing impact on related systems/subsystems.
Support factory acceptance testing.
Develop status reports: technical assessments, risk assessments, and recommendations.
