Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a full-time Computer Engineer to support on-site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) with Code 34 ISEA Team. You will analyze, design and enhance capabilities, test support, and provide in-service support for radar systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software, drafting engineering change proposals, conducting analyses, and delivering technical reports. Travel about 10% and secret clearance are required or beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science.
• BS and 0-2 years experience.
• Technical writing and presentation skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with process improvement methods (CMMI) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Understanding DoD engineering design practices is a plus.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a secret security clearance; active clearances are a plus.
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
• Hands-on with hardware components and software.

Responsibilities

Arcfield is currently seeking skilled and motivated full-time Computer Engineer to support on site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). You will support Code 34 Radar In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) Team. Tasking will include analysis, design and capability enhancements, testing support, and in-service support for new and fielded Radar Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at both NUWC lab and within the fleet.
• Analysis for and development of Engineering Change Instructions and Engineering Change Proposals.
• Perform gap, fault/failure, and performance analyses.
• Document and present trade studies.
• Investigate capabilities and applicability of unique testing environments to support required testing objectives.
• Perform impact analysis of testing on related systems /subsystems.
• Perform and/or support factory acceptance testing.
• Develop program status reports such as technical assessments, risk assessments, technical recommendations or technical information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science.
• BS and 0-2 years experience
• Technical writing and presentation skills required along with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
