Job summary

Advanced Sciences and Technologies in New Jersey is seeking a skilled engineer to translate radar requirements into software specifications. You will develop models, run simulations, and support agile systems engineering in a DoD-facing program.

The candidate should have strong C++ and MATLAB skills, plus experience with DOORs, Git, and Confluence, and be eligible for a Secret DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Systems Engineering, CS/Engineering, Physics or related STEM field.
• 2–5 years of experience in software/system analysis, verification & validation, modeling & simulation, integration & test.
• High proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and scripting languages for analysis and automation.
• Experience with DOORs, Git and Confluence Tool Suite.
• Radar systems development including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and radar performance analysis, requirements allocation, algorithm development, and interface definition to translate radar requirements into software specifications.
• Develop high fidelity models and run simulations to evaluate radar system performance.
• Provide individual contributor effort for system design and test for the RCP SCI and support agile systems engineering (scrum meetings and sprint planning).
• Execute system verification activities, integration and test, and support certification and testing milestones.

Job description

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in one or more of the following
• software/system analysis
• verification & validation
• modeling & simulation
• integration & test
• High proficiency in:
• C++ (or another object oriented language)
• MATLAB for analysis, modeling, and test automation
• Scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for task automation and CI/CD tooling.
• Perform functional and radar performance analysis, requirements allocation, algorithm development, and/or interface definition to convert customer defined radar requirements into detailed software specifications.
• Develop high fidelity models and run simulations to evaluate radar system performance
• Provide individual contributor effort for the system design, and test for the RCP SCI and support agile systems engineering process including scrum meetings and sprint planning.
• Execute system verification activities, integration and test, and provide support for certification and testing milestones.
• Experience with DOORs, git, Confluence Tool Suite
• Radar systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to produce clear technical documentation and deliver concise briefings.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance
