Job summary

RTX’s Radar Digital Product Line in San Diego, CA, seeks a Software Engineer to design and implement real-time radar software in a DevSecOps setting. You will work on cutting-edge solutions, collaborating with Scrum teams to deliver reliable C++ code for radar systems.

The role is onsite in San Diego, with potential travel for radar site support and opportunities to grow technically. Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, strong C++ and OO design skills, and

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Proficiency in C++ and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
Experience with Linux development environments and DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Jira, Git).
Strong problem-solving skills and a self-motivated approach to debugging and fixing complex software issues.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Scrum teams to design, develop, and troubleshoot tactical radar software in a DevSecOps environment.
Design, code, and maintain robust C++ software for real-time applications, ensuring high reliability.
Run SWIT and root-cause analysis using Jenkins and Linux tools.
Develop scripts (Python, Bash, or Perl) to automate testing, log analysis, and system integration tasks.
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical reviews, growing skills in system-level design.
