Job summary

CACI invites aspiring engineers for a Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2027 role. You will join the Radar and Sensor Technologies Portfolio, developing radar software and learning from experts in space emerging tech.

You will contribute to government-facing projects, collaborate with teams, and gain experience across the software lifecycle, with mentorship and opportunities to modernize legacy code.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
• Programming skills in C++, Java, Rust, CUDA, or Python.
• Willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Take algorithm definitions and prototypes and convert them into software applications.
• Learn about radar phenomenology and algorithm implementation.
• Collaborate with developers, participate in code reviews and technical exchanges.
• Build and improve automated test and verification software and tools.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices.
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle from planning to maintenance.
• Update legacy code into modern languages under mentor supervision and integrate into our stacks.
