Echodyne Corp is seeking a Technical Writer to join our fast-growing team. You will own documentation for radar hardware products, create user guides and troubleshooting content, and collaborate across hardware, software, and operations teams.

Candidates should have 6+ years of technical-writing experience, a strong portfolio, and hands-on experience with DITA XML and Git-based workflows. This exempt role offers comprehensive benefits and a US-based workplace.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional technical-writing experience documenting hardware-and-software products or systems.
• Portfolio or work samples showing task-oriented documentation for technical products.
• Ability to learn through hands-on product use and validate docs against hardware or software.
• Experience with DITA XML or similar topic-based authoring, including metadata and conditional publishing.
• Hands-on experience with docs-as-code workflows and Git, including PRs, reviews and issue tracking.
• Ability to translate engineering sources into content for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong project-management, attention to detail, and prioritization in changing environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Own planning, development, publication, localization, and lifecycle maintenance of documentation for radar hardware products.
• Create user guides, installation/configuration procedures, and troubleshooting content focused on hardware components.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, QA, product, support, and operations throughout the lifecycle.
• Author and maintain modular content using DITA XML with metadata and reuse strategies.
• Contribute through Git-based docs-as-code workflows including PRs, reviews, and issue tracking.
• Manage multiple documentation initiatives, communicate risks early, and adapt plans as priorities change.
