Job summary

Footbridge Federal is seeking a highly skilled radar systems engineer in Colorado who will formulate and refine signal processing algorithms, develop real-time MATLAB-based models, and analyze range-Doppler displays for radar performance and tracking filters.

The role requires an active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and strong expertise in LFM/pulsed radar, with hands-on MATLAB and system simulation experience. You will work within a defense-focused culture emphasizing mission impact.

Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of experience (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ years).
Specialized expertise in radar signal processing, including pulsed and LFM waveforms.
Advanced hands-on proficiency with MATLAB for algorithm prototyping, modeling, and system simulation.
Proven experience with radar calibration, target detection, discrimination techniques, and Blake chart analysis.
Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle and technical management tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

Formulate and refine signal processing algorithms using MATLAB for waveform processing, target discrimination, and detection.
Produce and analyze range-Doppler displays to assess radar performance and target tracking filters.
Perform system-level effectiveness analyses using Blake charts and kinematic threat trajectory modeling.
Support platform integration by translating theoretical algorithms into real-time simulation software models.
