Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Junior Software Signal Processing Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize radar signal processing software in a contract role based in Colorado Springs. The candidate will work with DSP toolsets, CUDA, and AI-enabled tooling to enhance development tasks while collaborating with hardware engineers and designers.

The position requires DoD Secret clearance (or eligibility), strong C/Python/CUDA skills, and Linux experience, with a focus on RF signal processing and GPU

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required at application time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5+ years experience, or Master’s 3 years, or PhD 1 year.
• Proficiency in C, Python, and CUDA.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and RF signal processing.
• Experience with GPU optimization and Matlab.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems with logical and mathematical solutions.
• Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers.
• Plan, design, develop, and utilize electronic data processing systems for product/software.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems with program intent and input data.
• Prepare operating instructions and design compilers, assemblers, and OS.
• Develop and optimize radar signal processing algorithms and pipelines using DSP Toolboxes.
• Utilize GPU acceleration (CUDA) for performance-critical workloads.
• Leverage AI tooling to assist development while ensuring code accountability.
