Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Software Signal Processing Engineer to lead radar DSP software development in Colorado Springs. You will guide architecture, design decisions, and implementation approaches while remaining hands-on with code and problem solving.

You will mentor engineers, review designs, and optimize DSP pipelines using CUDA and GPU acceleration. A Secret clearance is required, with travel up to 10% and relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance is required.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, and CUDA for performance-critical workloads.
• Experience with Linux development environments and RF signal processing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for radar DSP software, guiding architecture and performance optimization.
• Design and develop high-performance radar DSP pipelines and supporting software.
• Lead collaboration with systems, hardware, and equipment teams to plan and implement data processing systems.
• Analyze user needs and system capabilities; prepare operating instructions and documentation.
• Guide development of compilers, utilities, and infrastructure to enable scalable DSP workflows.
• Provide mentorship and conduct code/design reviews for performance and reliability.
• Demonstrated experience with radar signal processing algorithms and CUDA GPU acceleration in real-time contexts.
• Experience using AI tooling to accelerate software development while maintaining accountability.
