Job summary

Prattwhitney in Woburn, MA seeks a Systems Engineer II for the AN/TPY‑2 missile defense radar program onsite. Secret DoD clearance required. The role focuses on data analysis, system performance, and verification across the V&V lifecycle.

Responsibilities include analyzing sensor data, developing MATLAB and Python scripts, leading requirements traceability, and presenting findings to leadership and military stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 2+ years in test methodology, data analysis, scripting, or software development.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Unix or Linux.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• DoD Secret security clearance required.
• PhD or Master’s in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Parse, process, and analyze raw sensor data, tracks, and detections to evaluate algorithm performance.
• Conduct scenario-based analysis to identify technical observations.
• Perform system performance assessments and validation testing.
• Lead system-level requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability across V&V.
• Establish and report Key Performance Metrics and Technical Performance Measures.
• Develop and maintain MATLAB and Python scripts for large-scale data ingestion and modeling.
• Translate data findings into presentations, dashboards, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
