Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Woburn, MA seeks a Principal Systems Engineer for the Radar Performance and Analysis Team. Onsite role with DoD clearance preferred, focusing on radar data analysis, algorithm performance, and system validation.

You will lead V&V activities, develop scripts in MATLAB and Python, and present findings to program leadership and military stakeholders. An advanced degree is preferred and DoD experience valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience; STEM degree required.
• Experience in test methods, data analysis, scripting, or software dev.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Unix/Linux.
• Radar systems engineering or defense performance analysis knowledge.
• Experience with IBM DOORS for requirements tracking.
• Strong troubleshooting and clear communication skills.
• PhD or MS in Engineering/Math/Physics preferred.
• DoD security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Parse, process, and analyze raw sensor data to evaluate algorithm performance.
• Conduct scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve observations.
• Perform system performance assessments and validation testing.
• Lead system-level requirements analysis and traceability in V&V lifecycle.
• Establish and report on KPIs/TPMs, spotting trends and risks.
• Develop MATLAB and Python scripts to automate data ingestion and modeling.
• Translate data findings into clear presentations and documentation for leadership.
