Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Rad Tech/Phlebotomist for an on-site, full-time daytime role. You will position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and ensure radiologic safety while collecting blood samples for laboratory testing.

You will verify orders and sample requirements and work within our safety-focused team. Responsibilities include developing quality images, ensuring patient information accuracy, and performing other duties to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in Radiology required.
• ARRT certification required (see Certification).
• BLS within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Position and transfer patients safely.
• Operate radiographic equipment and develop radiographs.
• Ensure radiologic safety and quality control of images.
• Collect specimens for laboratory testing via phlebotomy.
• Verify patient information and provider orders for tests.
• Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety.
• Work hours per offer letter; may extend as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Rad Tech/Phlebotomist / Occupational Health/ Full Time / Days

Rad Tech/Phlebotomist is responsible for patient positioning, operating radiographic equipment, ensuring radiologic safety, and developing high-quality images. Additionally, ensures accurate specimen collection for laboratory testing through proficient phlebotomy practices and verification of appropriate patient information, provider orders, and test specific sample requirements. Rad Tech/Phlebotomist is an onsite position.

Essential Functions

• Proper positioning and transferring of patients, ensuring safety and comfort while applying immobilization devices when required.
• Displays an understanding of procedures and equipment utilized throughout the department.
• Follows prescribed safety standards to protect patients and staff, including proper radiation protection and adherence to safety protocols during radiographic procedures.
• Develop high-quality radiographs (films) through automatic or manual processes, ensuring technical quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Works effectively with ancillary staff.
• Ensure accurate specimen collection for laboratory testing through proficient phlebotomy practices and verification of appropriate patient information, provider orders, and test‑specific sample requirements.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
• Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
