Job summary

Wood County Hospital seeks an Outreach Phlebotomist / Radiology / Full Time Days to join our patient-centered imaging team. The role combines radiologic imaging with safe phlebotomy practices and accurate specimen handling, on-site in Bowling Green, OH.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Radiology, active Ohio Radiology Licensure, ARRT certification, and BLS within 7 days of hire. Experience is not required; training provided.

Outreach Phlebotomist / Radiology / Full Time Days Rad Tech/Phlebotomist is responsible for patient positioning, operating radiographic equipment, ensuring radiologic safety, and developing high-quality images. Additionally, ensures accurate specimen collection for laboratory testing through proficient phlebotomy practices and verification of appropriate patient information, provider orders, and test-specific sample requirements. Rad Tech/Phlebotomist is an onsite position.

Essential Functions

• Proper positioning and transferring of patients, ensuring safety and comfort while applying immobilization devices when required.
• Displays an understanding of procedures and equipment utilized throughout the department.
• Follows prescribed safety standards to protect patients and staff, including proper radiation protection and adherence to safety protocols during radiographic procedures.
• Develop high-quality radiographs (films) through automatic or manual processes, ensuring technical quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Works effectively with ancillary staff.
• Ensure accurate specimen collection for laboratory testing through proficient phlebotomy practices and verification of appropriate patient information, provider orders, and test-specific sample requirements.

Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
