Job summary

CP01 Carilion Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for daytime/evening shifts. You will perform diagnostic procedures using advanced imaging equipment, assess patients, and support students and staff. A Virginia state license and ARRT registry are required, alongside strong communication skills.

Rad Tech - Outpatient (ION) – Float Days (Open)

Based in Roanoke, Virginia, you will play an important role in performing accurate diagnostic procedures on patients using state‑of‑the‑art equipment for radiological diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostic procedures on patients.
• Assess patients prior to, during, and after procedures in accordance with Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
• Operate highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
• Position patients to obtain quality images.
• Perform IV contrast injections, urinary catheterizations, and/or other procedures as required.
• Utilize RIS (Radiology Information System) and electronic medical records.
• Train students and staff as assigned.
• May be cross‑trained on laboratory phlebotomy and operate laboratory waived testing equipment according to CLIA regulations.
• May be trained to perform EKGs.
