Job summary

Nutex Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Multi-modality to join our team in Fort Smith, AR. You will operate CT, X-ray, MRI or ultrasound devices, position patients, administer contrast, and ensure safety and accuracy in imaging. This role requires hospital experience and appropriate certifications.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT or RDMS credentials, a current BLS card, and demonstrate excellent communication and patient-care skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year hospital experience with CT, X-ray, MRI or US with ARRT/RDMS certification.
• Associate degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school.
• ARRT or RDMS certification required.
• BLS certified by the American Heart Association.
• Multimodality tech: cert in 2+ modalities or completed cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately for scanning procedures.
• Run warm-up sequences on radiology equipment.
• Sterilize equipment and follow infection control protocols.
• Follow physicians' scanning instructions precisely.
• Administer radiocontrast agents when indicated.
• Review scans to ensure technical quality.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance.
• Monitor for allergic reactions to contrast agents.
• Maintain radiologic supplies inventory.

Job description

Rad Tech-Multi Modality As a Radiology Tech Multi-modality, you will operate our advanced scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas.
• Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality.
• Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols.
• Interpret and follow physicians' written scanning instructions accurately.
• Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging.
• Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards.
• Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed.
• Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents.
• Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in the following modalities: CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound (US) as verified by ARRT or RDMS certification.
• At least one year of experience working in a hospital setting.
• An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, combined with one year of relevant experience and training.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Multimodality Technologists must possess certification in two (2) or more modalities: Radiology (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or have completed an accredited cross-training program.
