Job summary

Nutex Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for night shift to operate multi-modality imaging equipment and capture high-quality diagnostic images. You will position patients, administer contrast as needed, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout scanning procedures.

Ideal candidates will have ARRT or RDMS certification, BLS, and at least one year of hospital experience, with multimodality certification or cross-training in two or more modalities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required with one year of related experience and training.
• ARRT or RDMS certification required; BLS required.
• Multimodality technologists must have two or more modality certifications or completed a cross-training program.

Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately for specific body areas to be scanned.
• Perform routine warm-up sequences on radiology equipment.
• Sterilize radiology equipment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Administer radiocontrast agents when indicated to enhance imaging.
• Review scans to ensure technical quality and interpret instructions from physicians.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support.
• Monitor for allergic reactions during procedures and respond as needed.
• Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report deficiencies.

Job description

Radiology Technologist Night As a Radiology Tech Multi-modality, you will operate our advanced scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas. Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality. Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols. Interpret and follow physicians' written scanning instructions accurately. Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging. Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards. Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed. Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents. Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.

Required Qualifications

Minimum one year of experience in the following modalities: CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound (US) as verified by ARRT or RDMS certification. At least one year of experience working in a hospital setting. An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, combined with one year of relevant experience and training. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS). Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Multimodality Technologists must possess certification in two (2) or more modalities: Radiology (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or have completed an accredited cross-training program.
