Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients across all ages. You will follow established protocols, ensure image quality, and maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, adherence to radiation safety, education, and delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced imaging department. ARRT certification and BCLS are required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Radiation Safety Policies and dose reduction principles.
• Provides patient education and communications per standards.

Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic radiographs and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services using imaging modalities. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
