Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is actively seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs and provide patient care across all age groups. You will operate radiologic equipment, adhere to established imaging protocols, and ensure patient safety under Radiation Safety guidelines.

The position requires graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited program, ARRT and BCLS certification upon hire, and no prior experience is required.

Responsibilities

Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic radiographs and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services using imaging modalities. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
