Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and ensure radiology quality while adhering to ALARA standards. The role includes assisting with inventory and scheduling, and taking on-call shifts for after-hours coverage.

Ideal candidates will be ARRT certified (R), Florida registered, and a graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program. No prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) required.
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients and perform radiology procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment and set appropriate technical factors for diagnostic quality while minimizing patient dose (ALARA).
• Relay images and clinical information to the physician for interpretation.
• Assist with inventory management and patient scheduling.
• Take on-call duties to provide after-hours coverage.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides care for patients and performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for screening, diagnostic and guidance for interventional procedures in accordance with ALARA standards. Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, minimize patient dose, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation. Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling. Takes on-call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R)
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist program
• No experience required
