Job summary

BT Retail Solutions is hiring a Shelving & Racking Lead to install, move, and replace steel racking and shelving systems. The role requires mechanical aptitude, comfort with ladders, and the ability to travel within the state and surrounding areas.

You will assemble and replace components and work on projects ranging in scope and hours. Candidates should be able to read diagrams, operate order pickers and forklifts (training provided), and maintain safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined and able to perform racking installation and demo.
• Proficient with hand tools and cordless power tools for materials handling.
• Able to read diagrams/blueprints and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, and replace steel racking/cantilevers.
• Assemble storage shelving and steel shelving systems.
• Replace damaged racking components and move products between racks.
• Assist with other jobs when not performing racking projects.
• Operate order pickers, forklifts, and scissor lifts (training provided).
• Climb ladders and work up to 20 feet high.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional up to 75 lbs.

Minimum Pay

USD $19.00/Hr.

• This position is Variable Full Time Hours and Projects can range from 0-40 hours per week based on volume

What You'll Do

• Install, move, and replace steel racking/cantilevers.
• Assemble storage shelving, rack shelving, structural shelving, and steel shelving systems.
• Replace damaged racking components.
• Move products from old to new racking.
• Assist with other jobs when not performing racking projects.
• We are looking for candidates that possess the following skills:
• Mechanically inclined/jack-of-all-trades, or experience with racking installation and demo.
• Skilled with hand tools, cordless power tools, and mechanical assembly tools for handling materials and fasteners.
• Able to confirm accuracy and job quality using established mechanical and safety standards.
• Able to (or willing/able to learn to) operate order pickers, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working 20 feet off the ground.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
