Job summary

Engineered Products LLC seeks a Design Engineer to develop accurate, manufacturable racking designs that meet customer requirements while optimizing cost, safety, and production efficiency. You will create and release 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and shop capabilities.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with project management, manufacturing, and installation teams to deliver high-quality, custom storage solutions. Travel (<10%) may be required for customer meetings or site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–4 years experience in design engineering, preferably in structural racking.
• Proficient with Autodesk 2D and Inventor.
• Familiarity with rendering software and design documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews with customers to capture requirements.
• Create and release drawing packages and BOMs for production.
• Ensure designs align with manufacturing capabilities and standard parts.
• Manage revisions and engineering changes through the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with production to validate design feasibility.
• Participate in shop floor reviews and first-article builds.
• Incorporate feedback from fabrication and installation into future designs.
