Qualifications

• BSc in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college; EIT/PE preferred.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in product design and manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating with customers, suppliers, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Strong system analysis, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and learn new technologies quickly.
• AutoCAD and/or Inventor knowledge and experience.
• Familiar with FEA and other structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Create complete project drawing sets in AutoCAD for permits.
• Assist in estimating projects from take-offs to quotes.
• Engineer structural racking and components.
• Design new products and participate in development initiatives.
• Support manufacturing, installation, testing and documentation to ensure design compliance.
• Prepare bills of materials and specs.
• Support design and production to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Participate in continuous improvement for design to market speed and lean development.
• Visit job sites for measurements and installer walkthroughs.
• Utilize Excel, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, RISA, SAP2000, or Visual Analysis.
• Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
