Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN, is seeking a Parts Preparation Technician to prep customer parts for metal finishing. You will rack parts, inspect quality, and assist production while no prior plating experience is required—we provide training.

The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork in a dynamic manufacturing setting. The position offers a starting pay of $24.00/hour, with a 2nd shift Monday-Thursday schedule and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required—we will train the right candidate.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read an analog clock and tape measure.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Dependable attendance.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Count and verify customer parts before processing.
• Rack customer parts according to work instructions and quality requirements.
• Inspect parts for quality, damage, and accuracy.
• Remove completed parts from racks after processing.
• Package finished products for shipment.
• Complete production paperwork accurately.
• Follow established production procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
• Meet established production and quality expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
