Job summary

Ford Racing is seeking an experienced Low Volume Manufacturing Manager to lead niche manufacturing efforts across Motorsports and Road Car applications. The role focuses on building a center of excellence for advanced manufacturing technologies and partnering closely with Design and Release engineers to accelerate development and reduce capital spend.

Qualifications

Significant, demonstrated experience in low volume manufacturing.
Proven experience leading and developing salaried technical teams.
Strong understanding of the product development process and ability to work with design and release engineers.
Track record of leading strategic technology or capability decisions, including capital investment and supplier/partner relationships.
Excellent communication skills and entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

Set the strategic direction for low volume vehicle and additive manufacturing at Ford Racing.
Build, lead, and develop a team of engineers as center-of-excellence for low volume manufacturing.
Establish KPIs to measure growth and impact across the business.
Serve as the primary contact for external partners and suppliers, negotiating scope, timing, and financials.
Drive integration of capability into near-term programs and long-term vehicle architecture planning.
Identify manufacturing capability requirements for top vehicle programs.
Design manufacturing floor layouts for motorsports and production vehicles.
Develop manufacturing standards aligned with Ford standards for low volume.
Integrate with heritage vehicle business development opportunities.
Negotiate contracts with partners as needed.
