Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Engineer to design, develop, validate, and release interior trim components across programs. You will work with FSS/Build-To-Print suppliers, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with global and local requirements.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, 3+ years in cockpit/trim applications, strong launch and problem-solving skills, and CAD proficiency. A hybrid onsite schedule is expected in Dearborn, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive cockpit and trim applications.
• 3+ years of experience in launch, root cause analysis for design/manufacturing issues, and quick implementation of corrective actions.
• 1 year of CAD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and release automotive interior systems for programs and suppliers.
• Monitor and manage cost for future and current applications.
• Ensure parts meet corporate and local requirements and specifications.
• Translate customer and regulatory requirements into engineering targets.
• Support suppliers and assembly departments with production quality issues.
