Job summary

JACK Entertainment is seeking a hands-on Groundskeeper to maintain racing surfaces, operate track equipment, and ensure safety across the racetrack, stable area, dormitories, grandstand and perimeter.

Responsibilities include cleaning, snow removal, and coordination with racing officials. A high school diploma or GED is required, and Ohio Racing Commission License eligibility is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain an Ohio Racing Commission License.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Experience with general groundskeeping and equipment maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and repair racing surfaces before, during, and after events.
• Operate and maintain track equipment such as harrows, tractors, water trucks.
• Monitor conditions and adjust moisture and depth for safety.
• Maintain infield, rails, fencing, and track markers; perform weather-related adjustments.
• Assist during race days with inspections and emergency repairs; coordinate with officials.
• Perform general grounds maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment around facilities.
