Job summary

TalentBurst is hiring a Travel RN with Labor & Delivery expertise for Reston, Virginia. The role is night shift, 12 hours per day, 3 days per week, on-site for a 13-week contract starting 9/07/2026.

The RN will manage L&D care in a high-acuity setting, scrub and circulate in OR as needed, and work in a Level III NICU environment with certifications including BLS/ACLS/NRP.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia
• Experience in labor & delivery nursing
• Ability to work night shifts and long hours

Responsibilities

• Provide L&D care during night shifts
• Assist with cesarean deliveries, epidurals, and related procedures
• Monitor and respond to high-acuity obstetric patients

General Information

Unit Specifics:

• 15 LDR
• 3 OB triage rooms
• 3 ORs
• 4 bay PACU
• 4 antepartum rooms.
• Level III NICU
• Documentation system: Meditech, CPN
• Scheduling requirements: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
• Floating policy: within women's and children's service line
• Patient Experience requirements: labor and delivery, circulate c sections, IV drips such as magnesium, high acuity

Hospital Specifics-

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate

Hiring Profile

Advanced skills needed:

• Experience with fast paced LD unit
• Experience with scrub role and circulating in OR helpful

Procedures performed on unit: c/sections, epidurals, blood patch, spinals, cerclage, version

We do not perform blood patch almost ever so please remove that

Dress Code:

• Hospital supplies scrubs
