Job summary

A healthcare organization in Altoona, Florida is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to supervise staff, ensure quality patient care, and lead nursing operations. Qualifications

• Must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.
• Ability to lift unassisted at least 50 lbs and walk or stand up to eight hours.

Purpose

Ensure respectful treatment of patients, clients, and family members. Provide leadership of the staff in the compassionate care of the patient/family unit.

• Supervises Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and PCA/NA's while on duty. Will develop, motivate, and provide support and relief during nursing staff breaks.
• Identify performance issues, discuss with the Director and assist in their resolution.
• Creates plans of care and clinical solutions to patient problems using the nursing process and critical thinking skills.
• complete and assist the Director in required training of staff and attends staff meetings.

Required Qualification

• Current license as a Registered Nurse and CPR certified.
• Proficiency in Point Click Care software.
• For purposes of effective communication with residents, families and staff must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.
• Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 50 lbs and walk or stand up to eight hours.

Hourly Rate

$38.00 - $49.40

A criminal history background check and sex offender registry check will be required for the finalist under consideration for this position. We are a drug free workplace.
