Job summary

Hadrian in the United States is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to support welding development and tooling in a hands-on, shop-floor environment. You will design tooling, fixtures, and develop concepts for automation alongside welding engineers and welders.

The role is in-person, split between design and manufacturing, requiring strong CAD skills and familiarity with GD&T, manufacturing tooling, and metrology. Relocation assistance may be available, and equity is offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing or related field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD support for weld development equipment and tooling.
• Develop concepts for automation, tooling, fixtures, and development parts.
• Work with welding engineers and welders to weld parts in a development setting.
• Bridge automation and welding needs to enable repeatable, tool-ready processes.
• Coordinate with Build, Software, Tooling, Automation, and NDT to keep development moving.
