Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a hands-on R&D Engineer to join our welding development center. You will design tooling, fixtures, and parts, support equipment buys, and help move weld development toward production in a mixed design and shop-floor role.

You will collaborate with welding engineers and welders, translate development needs into workable, automatible processes, and coordinate with Build, Software, Tooling, Automation, and NDT to keep projects unblocked.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Welding, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with shop-floor tooling, fixtures, metrology, and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Support welding equipment needs for development and CAD work.
• Develop automation concepts, tooling, fixtures, and parts.
• Weld actual parts in a development setting with the team.
• Bridge automation, tooling, and welding gaps into automated processes.
• Coordinate across Build, Software, Tooling, Automation, and NDT to keep development unblocked.
