Job summary

H3X Technologies seeks a test engineering intern to support R&D and production testing for the HPDM line. You’ll take ownership of testing activities with significant responsibility in a fast-paced team.

The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, data-driven testing, and collaboration with engineers to meet reliability targets. This internship offers Spring 2027 with potential for Summer 2027 and extended co-op positions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Establish and document requirements to fulfill testing equipment design needs.
• Conceptualize test equipment designs.
• Gather and consolidate requirements for R&D test suites in the form of test plans.
• Design parts and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks.
• Compile complete Bills of Materials.
• Provide technical supply chain support for sourcing hardware.
• Work with technicians and test engineers to build initial prototypes.
• Test prototype equipment for verification.
• Create a test plan and checklist to validate product design targets.
• Support testing execution and characterization of new designs.
• Interpret test results, identify root-cause of issues, and make design recommendations to meet the highest level of reliability and performance.
• Support complete system tests.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement safe processes.
• Maintain testing and production equipment where necessary.
