H3X Technologies Inc. in Colorado is seeking a mechanical design engineering intern to support the HPDM product line. You will take on the responsibilities of a design engineer and work in a small, fast-paced team focused on delivering hardware quickly.

The role emphasizes hands-on practice with SolidWorks, drawing production, and analyses. Spring internships with potential Summer roles and extended Co-Op periods are available, with relocation assistance and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Hands-on experience assembling mechanical systems.
• SolidWorks proficient (or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Exceptional understanding of fundamentals.
• Action biased, results-driven mentality.
• Willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Establish and document requirements.
• Conceptualize designs and product architectures.
• Design parts and assemblies with SolidWorks.
• Perform hand calculations, FEA, CFD analyses.
• Generate drawings per ASME and GD&T; verify tolerances.
• Compile Bills of Materials.
• Provide technical supply chain support.
• Assist with prototyping.
• Create a Design Validation Plan and report.
• Support testing and interpret results.
• Integrate sub-systems into full systems.
• Support future production builds.
• Identify workplace hazards and maintain equipment.
