Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a qualified engineer to support the Test Engineering Manager in advancing the NuScale Microreactor program. You will develop and execute test programs for design, certification, manufacture and deployment, ensuring compliance with DOE requirements.

You will manage small projects, prepare budgets and SOWs, coordinate supplier evaluations and contract close-out, and analyze test data to validate performance of materials and hardware under high-temperature conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• Experience in executing, developing and managing testing programs for materials, fluid, mechanical or electro-mechanical hardware or devices.
• Knowledge of and experience with refractory metals and high temperature applications (>800 °C)
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810

Responsibilities

• Support the Test Engineering Manager
• Develop and execute test programs for design, certification, manufacture and deployment of the NuScale Microreactor
• Manage small projects and oversee test progression from supplier evaluation through contract close-out
• Prepare budgets, schedules, statements-of-work, requests-for-quote, test specifications and test reports
• Analyze test data and validation efforts that utilize test data
