Job summary

Qnity is seeking a Test Method Development engineer to design and validate advanced testing approaches for TIMs and related materials. You will work with materials scientists, design engineers, and product managers to optimize testing protocols, analyze complex data, and document findings for technical reports and SOPs.

Strong hands-on experience with thermal/electrical/mechanical testing, plus proficiency in Python/MATLAB/Minitab, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in Thermal/Electrical/Mechanical testing, preferably with TIMs or electronic packaging materials.
• Experience with thermal test systems, mechanical test equipment, and environmental or reliability testing.
• Strong foundation in heat transfer, solid mechanics, and materials behavior.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools such as Python, MATLAB, Minitab, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced test methods to evaluate performance of TIMs.
• Analyze large datasets to extract key metrics and prepare technical docs.
• Present findings to cross-functional teams, R&D leadership, and customers.
• Partner with scientists, engineers, and product managers on material decisions.
• Ensure test methods meet ASTM/JEDEC/ISO standards and internal quality systems.
