Job summary

Ortec in Piedmont, SC is seeking an R&D Technician to assist with laboratory experiments, product scale-up and data documentation. You will work with scientists to execute lab batches, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and cGMP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Science or related field.
• Experience documenting lab notebook entries and drafting SOPs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scale-up of new products and processes.
• Set up and clean glassware/equipment and run lab batches.
• Acquire and inventory raw materials; stage and characterize products.
• Document and communicate data/findings; prepare lab reports.
