Job summary

Ortec is expanding its lab operations in Easley, SC. We seek a laboratory technician to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses, maintain instruments, and assist chemists and engineers in a fast-paced environment.

You will monitor product quality, conduct experiments, and document results. The role requires a High School GED or higher, with a B.S. in Chemistry/Biology/Science preferred, and a 12-hour rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality to ensure standards and specifications.
• Set up and conduct chemical experiments and analyses using techniques like chromatography and spectroscopy.
• Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.
• Provide technical support to chemists and engineers.
• Maintain, clean, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Prepare chemical solutions following standardized formulas or create experimental formulas.
• Write technical reports documenting results.
• Create Certificates of Analysis for completed batches.
