Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is hiring an R&D Technician II - Shockwave Medical to join our Santa Clara, CA team. You will develop and prototype devices for cardiovascular applications and support cross-functional teams from concept through commercialization.

You will perform testing, document results, and help troubleshoot processes under GMP guidelines. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams.
• Experience with data analysis and documentation practices.
• Exposure to product development and research processes.
• Familiar with GMP and lab practices to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Generate functional prototypes from design concepts and assist transfer to manufacturing.
• Support product builds across all R&D phases and provide feedback on assembly processes.
• Assist technicians, assemblers and engineers on procedures and product assembly.
• Assist engineers with product and process development and improvement.
• Perform testing to support design, process and equipment validation.
• Prepare test samples for routine and qualification testing.
• Identify issues and troubleshoot procedures and instruments.
• Maintain documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes.
