Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, quality, engineering support, or technical environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, measurement equipment, and basic shop equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Laboratory Testing & Technical Support: Perform packaging and product testing according to approved procedures and standards.
  • Collect, document, and organize test data to support engineering projects.
  • Assist engineers in executing test method validations, equipment qualifications, and development activities.
  • Prepare samples, fixtures, and equipment for testing activities.
  • Support laboratory scheduling and prioritization of testing requests.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on testing systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Assist in installation, qualification, calibration, and commissioning of new laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain equipment records, maintenance logs, and calibration documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Fixture Design & Fabrication Support: Assemble, modify, and repair test fixtures and tooling.
  • Assist with fabrication of fixtures, sample holders, and testing accessories.
  • Work with engineers and vendors to support equipment modifications and improvements.
  • Interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and equipment manuals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support 5S, safety, and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes and reduce downtime.
  • Participate in root cause investigations involving equipment and testing issues.
  • Contribute to development and revision of SOPs and work instructions.
