Qualifications

As a Manufacturing Engineer III, you will play a key role in advancing Boston Scientific's global Ideal Product Flow (IPF) initiative, with a focus on new product introduction, process development and operational excellence.You will independently lead and execute engineering activities, partner with cross-functional teams and apply technical expertise to develop and improve manufacturing processes. This role provides an opportunity to influence site performance, lead value improvement initiatives and serve as a technical resource to engineers and production teams.Work model, sponsorship, relocation:This role requires an on-site work model at our Quincy, Massachusetts, location, with employees expected to be on-site five days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.Your responsibilities will include:Lead and execute technical activities supporting new product and process introductions aligned with strategic business objectives, including the global IPF initiative.Develop, implement and optimize manufacturing processes to support product postponement, kitting, rework and related production activities.Lead process verification and validation activities, including development of protocols, execution, data analysis and documentation.Identify and lead value improvement initiatives that enhance quality, cost, capacity, efficiency and operational performance.Analyze manufacturing processes and use engineering principles and data-driven problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.Drive improvements in process design, manufacturing layout, workflow and operational performance.Lead engineering projects of moderate complexity, establishing project objectives, deliverables, timelines and resource requirements while ensuring successful execution.Partner cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain and other internal and external stakeholders to deliver project and business objectives.Prepare technical reports, documentation and presentations to communicate project status, recommendations, risks and results to key stakeholders.Develop deep technical knowledge of product postponement processes and serve as a technical resource for the site and broader organization.Build and leverage internal and external networks to identify resources, share best practices and resolve complex technical challenges.Support the training and development of engineers, technicians and production employees by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.Evaluate emerging technologies and manufacturing capabilities to identify opportunities that support business and operational objectives.Qualifications:Required qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering.Minimum of 4 years' experience in an engineering role, with demonstrated experience in new product introduction, process development or product/process implementation.Working knowledge of process verification and validation principles and practices.Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects and working effectively with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to analyze technical problems, develop solutions and drive improvements in a manufacturing environment.Preferred qualifications:Experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments.Experience with packaging and labeling processes.Experience with manufacturing automation equipment.Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or value improvement methodologies.Experience supporting new product introduction or manufacturing transfer initiatives.Requisition ID: 634377Minimum Salary: $ 82100Maximum Salary: $ 156000The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
