Job summary

Itron is seeking an Associate R&D Technician to support the DI-Lab operations, maintenance, and expansion. The role spans electrical distribution, metering equipment, and data acquisition with hands-on wiring, testing, and fabrication tasks.

Candidates should have an associate degree in a related field and 2+ years in electrical or lab technician roles, with strong safety discipline and documentation skills. A hybrid/engaged lab environment is offered.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in electrical/industrial tech or equivalent.
Experience reading electrical schematics and manuals.
Experience with electrical test equipment and lab instrumentation.
Ability to work safely around energized systems.
Proficiency with MS Office and technical docs.

Responsibilities

Support lab operations, maintenance, and expansion of the DI-Lab.
Assemble, install, maintain, and troubleshoot lab infrastructure and power systems.
Wiring, cable routing, terminations, and panel construction per codes.
Assist with lab expansions, upgrades, and safety checks.
Maintain documentation, wiring diagrams, and inventories.
