Job summary

Teradyne is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the IST organization by maintaining a safe, efficient engineering lab and partnering with hardware/software teams for development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will manage equipment uptime, install new devices, and coordinate with facilities, logistics, and external suppliers.

The role requires an associate degree in electronics or engineering technology and 8+ years of lab equipment experience.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in electronics or engineering technology.
8+ years experience supporting engineering lab equipment or automated test systems.
Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and improve complex systems.
Experience leading equipment installation projects with cross-functional coordination.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and system-level troubleshooting.
Experience supporting development, validation, and prototyping activities.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and service engineering lab equipment for development and validation.
Install and commission new equipment, coordinating with facilities, logistics, and suppliers.
Identify and manage critical spare parts inventory to minimise downtime.
Collaborate with software and hardware teams during DV activities for setup and testing.
Work with teams to determine root causes and support corrective actions.
Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer guidance and schedules.
Maintain equipment records and maintenance documentation for reliability.
Drive continuous improvement for lab efficiency, uptime, safety, and processes.
