Qualifications

• 6+ years in medical device or biotech industry.
• Extensive hands-on experience in cardiovascular catheter development.
• Prototyping environment with iterative development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and troubleshoot prototypes for catheter and delivery-system development.
• Perform dimensional, mechanical, functional, and performance testing using specialized inspection and laboratory equipment.
• Execute validation protocols and support development of test-method validation documentation.
• Provide technical input to engineers on product design, manufacturability, process optimization, and test results.
• Develop and improve prototype assembly processes using bonding, welding, coating, crimping, balloon processing, and other catheter-manufacturing techniques.
• Support equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, validation, troubleshooting, and general R&D lab operations.
• Support engineering changes, prototype tooling/fixtures, competitive product evaluations, and early manufacturing/process-development activities.

Job Description

• Support the research, development, prototyping, testing, and validation of medical devices, with emphasis on catheter-based technologies.
• Work closely with R&D engineers and cross-functional teams to translate product concepts into functional prototypes, develop and execute test methods, troubleshoot product and process issues, and support design verification and process validation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, modify, and troubleshoot prototypes for catheter and delivery-system development.
• Perform dimensional, mechanical, functional, and performance testing using specialized inspection and laboratory equipment.
• Execute validation protocols and support development of test-method validation documentation.
• Provide technical input to engineers on product design, manufacturability, process optimization, and test results.
