Job summary

Jobgether, based in the United States, seeks a Technology R&D Lead Engineer to drive hands-on technical leadership from experimentation to pilot deployment. You will guide full-stack prototypes, AI and data capabilities, cloud architecture, and technology evaluation to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and collaborate across AI, automation, engineering, product, and platform teams to align with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, product development, emerging technology, or related technical roles.
• Proven track record delivering prototypes, PoCs, or pilot solutions.
• Hands-on full-stack development with modern frontend/backend, REST/GraphQL APIs, and databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, system architecture, Git, CI/CD, and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies: Azure, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Fabric, Power Platform.
• Experience evaluating tech options against business/technical requirements.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, automation, and data-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of prototypes, PoCs, and pilots.
• Translate objectives into scalable architectures, experiments, and plans.
• Build full-stack prototypes with modern tech and cloud services.
• Evaluate technologies for scalability, security, and fit.
• Lead build-versus-buy assessments and vendor evaluations.
• Identify opportunities for R&D investment and prioritization.
• Break down challenges into data questions and experiments.
• Design validation activities and assess risks and business value.
• Incorporate AI/ML and automation into prototypes and pilots.
• Support transition to production and handoff to operations.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, legal, and risk stakeholders.
