Job summary

Vishay Duluth is seeking an R&D Tech at Level 1 or 2 for an on-site role. You will test products, build prototypes, and support production line engineering while following EHS rules.

Qualified candidates have an ABET-accredited associate degree in engineering technology and 0–3 years of related experience. Resume is required; hours are Monday–Friday, 7AM–3:30PM, pay $23–24/hr.

• 0–3 years of related experience; on-the-job training potentially under 2 months.

• Uses schematics, diagrams, and verbal descriptions to perform testing of products and equipment.
• Uses test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test equipment in support of R&D engineering.
• Build prototypes and related hardware including test fixtures, mechanical enclosures, assembly jigs and production tooling.
• Production line engineering support leader - addresses equipment issues and line-down situations.
• Performs qualification testing on new products.
• Performs Xray analysis on space grade products.
• Obeys all work rules and EHS regulations as valid for the work task(s) assigned.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Location:

This position will be on-site at the Duluth, MN facility, near Airpark blvd and Haines Road.

What you will be doing:

• Uses schematics, diagrams, and verbal descriptions to perform testing of products and equipment.
• Uses test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test equipment in support of R&D engineering.
• Build prototypes and related hardware including test fixtures, mechanical enclosures, assembly jigs and production tooling.
• Production line engineering support leader - addresses equipment issues and line-down situations.
• Performs qualification testing on new products.
• Performs Xray analysis on space grade products.
• Obeys all work rules and EHS regulations as valid for the work task(s) assigned.

What you will bring along:

• Experienced with operation of electrical engineering test equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, power supplies.
• Understands electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and the general characteristics of electronic components.
• Skilled with hand soldering, PCBA construction, and the use common shop tools.
• Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures.

Associate degree in engineering technology from an ABET accredited college or technical school or equivalent military related training with 0-3 years of prior related experience. Job training and orientation time required to perform the job satisfactorily is expected to be less than 2 months.

Pay: $23-24/hr starting pay (additional compensation may be added based on experience)
