Qualifications

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or a related field. For Tax Credit Advisory, JD/LLM preferred.
• A resume and unofficial transcript(s) are required as part of the application process.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have at least one academic term remaining following completion of the internship.
• Willingness to travel to client locations and various Baker Tilly office locations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Research & Development Tax: Support the preparation of R&D tax credit studies by organizing and analyzing client data, assisting with documentation, participating in client interviews, and contributing to technical reports and project deliverables.
• Cost Segregation: Support cost segregation projects by assisting with project planning, reviewing construction and fixed asset information, and preparing supporting workpapers and documentation.
• Tax Credit Advisory: Support project teams in helping clients identify and evaluate potential federal, state, and local tax credits and incentives.
