Baker Tilly is seeking Credits & Incentives Interns to join our growing Specialty Tax practice in Irvine, CA. You will work across R&D tax credits, cost segregation, and tax credit advisory, analyzing client data and supporting documentation.

This paid internship offers exposure to multiple industries, client interactions, and opportunities to develop practical tax consulting skills while traveling to client sites and Baker Tilly offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related field.
• For Tax Credit Advisory, JD/LLM preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• At least 18 years of age and one academic term remaining after internship.
• Passion for data-driven solutions and tax analysis.
• Willingness to travel to client locations and Baker Tilly offices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D tax credit studies by organizing and analyzing client data and contributing to reports.
• Gain exposure to client engagements and learn how teams gather information for qualifying activities.
• Assist with technical research and memos on R&D tax credit matters.
• Help develop tools, templates, and documentation for client engagements.
• Learn how R&D tax rules apply across industries and build foundational knowledge.
