Cherry Bekaert LLP seeks an Intern for the Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory (TCIA) team in the United States. You will work on federal and state credits, including R&D tax credits, energy incentives, and cost segregation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an accredited accounting degree with 150 credit hours completed or in progress.
• Interest in R&D tax incentives, federal and state incentives, and employee retention credits.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients on federal credits and incentives engagements including R&D tax credit/deduction analyses, Cost Segregations projects, Inflation Reduction Act-related Energy credits and incentives, and state credits and incentives.
• Develop technical skills in a given industry/service offering to solve complex issues.
• Interview technical personnel and review memoranda to support credits and incentive opportunities.
• Manage the review and organization of sources of client data for credit and incentives analysis.
• Support engagement teams by identifying current project status and next steps for the engagement.
• Serve as a point-of-contact for client personnel with tax and technical backgrounds.
• Lead the assembly of final client deliverables.
• Support evaluation of complex scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities.
