Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Cleared R&D Systems Engineer to join the Stockpile Logistics Team in a Requirements and Test Engineer role onsite. You will develop, analyze, and manage system requirements, support design, development, and test activities, interfacing with Navy, NNSA, and DOE customers to ensure successful integration.

The role requires multidisciplinary engineering, DOORS proficiency, and the ability to lead test planning and environmental tests while traveling to multiple

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent and ability to obtain Sigma 15 with polygraph testing.
• Experience with DOORS for requirements development, tracing, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary teams to solve high-profile technical challenges.
• Lead requirements reviews to ensure clear, verifiable requirements.
• Coordinate with test facilities and lead complex system-level tests.
• Create and update mechanical designs and environmental specifications.
• Draft technical documents including test reports and engineering authorizations.
• Interface with NSE laboratories and DoD customers to ensure DOE system integration.
